Recruit participants for your aphantasia study
aphantasie.org maintains a double opt-in panel of people who explicitly asked to be contacted about aphantasia research — a population that's notoriously hard to recruit through general channels. This covers aphantasia studies in the narrow sense as well as closely related work — autobiographical memory, face recognition (prosopagnosia), dream imagery, meditation and visualization research. We send your invitation; interested people contact you directly.
For researchers: recruit participants for aphantasia studies
aphantasie.org maintains a double-opt-in contact list of people who explicitly want to be contacted about aphantasia studies — a population that is otherwise hard to recruit. We send your study invitation to this list; interested people contact your team directly.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
The first mailing to established research groups is free — we want to prove the channel works. After that, pricing depends on panel size and targeting; we'll quote a fixed price before sending anything.
Do you only support pure aphantasia-diagnosis studies?
No — the panel also fits closely related research: autobiographical memory, face recognition/prosopagnosia, dream imagery, and meditation/visualization studies. If mental imagery or the aphantasia spectrum plays a role in your study, get in touch and we'll check the fit.
Do I get access to the contact list?
No. Contact data never leaves aphantasie.org. We send your invitation on your behalf; people who want to participate reply directly to the email address or link you provide.
How large is the panel, and how is it growing?
The panel currently has several dozen confirmed contacts and grows every week as new self-reporters opt in after taking our VVIQ/PSIQ tests.
Can I target a specific test result (e.g. VVIQ ≤ 16)?
We can filter by which test the person took (VVIQ, PSIQ), but not by exact score — we don't share individual results, only the fact that someone opted in for a given test type.
